Another take on the Queen Saga
I sent a rough, very basic track to Finn last summer, just some chords really. @finn_eces weaved his magic, wrote the lyrics, and a song within a song, and sent back this amazing folk-rock opera.
Back in the day when there were albums, this song would have been the last track on the B-side, that most of the band didn’t want on include at all. Anyway, this is my B-side album filler that gets me kicked out of the band
A collaboration with the gifted Philleann @philleann. Work with people better than you are, that's how you improve.
A tale from the present and from the past, a conversation between a man and his father, across distance and time. A connection, a long-ago promise made, perhaps forgotten, finally kept.
Sometimes I don’t know why I release music. I put a lot into it, and in reality, very few people will ever listen to these songs and, they quickly disappear into the digital ether. Now, very much in the 3rd act of life, there are realities to face and, it's getting so late...
You must know I know
All those years ago how
When I left you that day
I threw it all away
I remember I felt
That day that I flew
There was something inside
I really think I knew
A beautiful Patrick Kavanagh poem wonderfully narrated by Kevin Kennedy
Music, Production & Vocalizations Finn Eces
It's not for me to say this is true
I don't know I believe it myself
I saw but did not believe my eyes
A thousand tiny faries dance by the light of fireflies
